We are looking for 10 Crane Operators to work on a six month-project in Sengerema Mwanza.
Responsibilities
- Operate cranes safely and efficiently to lift, move, position, and place materials and equipment.
- Conduct daily pre-operational inspections and safety checks on the crane before use.
- Ensure that all lifting operations are carried out in accordance with approved lifting plans and procedures.
- Inspect lifting accessories and ensure they are suitable and certified for use.
- Communicate effectively with riggers, signalers, and supervisors during lifting operations.
- Ensure loads are properly secured, balanced, and within the crane's safe working load limits.
- Monitor weather and site conditions to ensure safe crane operations.
- Stop operations immediately if unsafe conditions are identified.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections, defects, and crane operating activities.
- Report mechanical defects, damages, or maintenance requirements to the Supervisor immediately.
- Follow all company policies, safety regulations, permit-to-work systems, and site procedures.
- Maintain the crane in a clean and serviceable condition.
- Wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Participate in toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Supervisor or Management.
Qualifications:
- 3rd party certified
- At least three years work experience in mining or mechanical engineering environment
